In a resounding conclusion to their illustrious Folsom High School careers, Colorado Buffaloes commits Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter left an indelible mark on the gridiron. The dynamic duo, who have been touted as some of the top recruits in the nation, showcased their exceptional talent in Folsom's decisive 49-21 victory over De La Salle Concord.

Quarterback Shedeur Sanders, son of NFL legend Deion Sanders, delivered a masterful performance. He completed 21 of 30 passes for 323 yards and four touchdowns, setting a new school record for single-season passing yards with 4,073. Sanders also rushed for 119 yards and a touchdown, becoming the first Folsom quarterback to rush for over 1,000 yards in a season.

Folsom head coach Paul Doherty praised Sanders' unwavering determination. "Shedeur is a special player who makes those around him better," said Doherty. "His leadership and ability to adapt to any situation are remarkable."

Cornerback Travis Hunter, considered by many to be the best high school football player in the country, lived up to his reputation with a dominant defensive performance. He recorded five tackles and intercepted a pass, returning it for a 35-yard touchdown.

"Travis is a game-changer," said Doherty. "His speed, athleticism, and instincts are simply unmatched. He has the potential to be the best defensive player in college football."

The Folsom faithful witnessed a fitting farewell from two of their most decorated athletes. Sanders and Hunter have been instrumental in Folsom's back-to-back CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division I championships. Their departure will leave a significant void on the field, but their legacy will continue to inspire future generations of Folsom Bulldogs.

Sanders and Hunter are expected to make an immediate impact on the University of Colorado's football program. Both players have committed to the Buffaloes and are part of the highest-rated recruiting class in CU history.

"We are extremely excited to welcome Shedeur and Travis to Boulder," said CU head coach Karl Dorrell. "They are exceptional athletes with a bright future ahead of them. Their contributions will undoubtedly elevate our program to new heights."
